PROSE at Zuken Innovation World Italia

Zuken Innovation World, a series of conferences organised by Zuken worldwide, brings together current and future users of Zuken solutions, industry professionals and Zuken experts.

On the 11th of June 2019 PROSE has participated, for the second time, at the Zuken Innovation World Italia – held in Bologna at the splendid setting of the Savoia Regency Hotel. This was an experience for our team to meet other Zuken users, professionals and experts as well as to network, learn and share innovative ideas.

This year we also had the opportunity to present our experience with developing RAMSAssistant – a software which integrates Zuken E3.series with Isograph Reliability Workbench. The presentation was held by Mirco Casalini, PROSE’s contact person for electrical and system design and head of the Engineering Unit, whilst an interactive demo of RAMSAssistant was shown to our attendees by Michele Mura, Digital Services Deputy Manager.

RAMSAssistant is a user-friendly tool, developed by PROSE and used to import and process RAMS data from electrical schematics made with CAD E3.series, and to export them to other systems. RAMS data is then used to perform failure analysis by importing them from the component database into the FaultTree module of the Isograph Reliability Workbench and producing FMECA analysis on Excel templates created by PROSE.

RAMSAssistant is a Microsoft Windows interactive and multi-language desktop application with a graphical user interface. It gives the user the opportunity to work on and process data with highly optimised import and export features.

This was the first time we have presented RAMSAssistant to the Italian market. This follows our collaboration with one of our foreign clients within the railway industry who will be integrating this software with their car-building process.

We would like to thank Zuken Innovation World for the excellent organisation of the event and for the valuable opportunity.

PROSE investigates the running safety under longitudinal compressive forces for London Underground

Germany-based manufacturer Kirow Ardelt GmbH is to deliver eight-axle railway cranes and switch tilters to London Underground (LU). These on-track machines (OTM) and additional wagons form the London Underground’s Modular Points and Crossing (MPaC) system. PROSE investigated the running safety under longitudinal compressive forces (LCF) of predefined consists of the MPaC system on LU as well as NR network in different specific coupling configurations i.e. central buffer coupler (drophead buckeye) and screw coupler with side buffers.
